Thanksgiving Ginger Citrus Splash Mocktail
As a new mom, finding a drink that I can enjoy with the whole family has been a priority. After experimenting with various flavors, I have found a recipe that blends the bright, refreshing notes of orange and apple with the warm, kick of ginger and a hint of rosemary. It’s the perfect drink to share, whether you’re gathering around the table or celebrating the festive season. The best part about this mocktail is that its versatile and delicious. Make a few tweaks with whatever you have on hand and make the recipe for any occasion.
Cheers to a holiday season full of flavor and family fun!
Ingredients You Will Need
- 5 cups apple cider, homemade preferably for a better taste!
- 2 cups orange juice
- 1 cup cranberry juice
- 1 cup pomegranate seeds
- 1 thinly sliced orange
- 1 thinly sliced Granny Smith apple
- 1 cup cranberries (fresh or frozen)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1-2 star anise
- 2-3 cinnamon sticks
- Ginger Beer, to top off
- 1 pack of rosemary sprigs (optional)
How to Make The Mocktails
Step 1: In a large pitcher, add in the apple cider, orange and cranberry juice along with sliced apples, oranges, cranberries, pomegranate seeds, cinnamon powder, cinnamon sticks and star anise.
Step 2: Assemble the drinks. In each 8 ounce cup, fill the glass with your preferred amount of ice, add in ½ cup of punch mixture and top off with chilled ginger beer for the best taste.
Step 3: Garnish each drink with the remaining sliced fruit and rosemary sprigs.
Step 4: Enjoy!
- Tip #1: If you want to make a bit sweeter, you can add in some agave syrup or maple syrup
- Tip #2: I find that making this drink in advance and chilling it beforehand, lets the spices seep for longer for better taste.
- Tip #3: Use your favorite Ginger Beer and chill beforehand!
Let me know if any of you make the mocktail this festive season!
